Troubleshooting Right Turn Signal Flashing Fast with Curt Wiring Installed on 2022 Mazda CX-5

Question:

I have installed the C56496 and now my Drivers side turn signal flashs very fast. All lights are working and the passenger side works fine. I checked the 12 volt wire coming from the battery and is working also. any ideas

Thank you for your purchase of the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter # C56496 for your 2022 Mazda CX-5!

Normally when we see hyperflashing like that it means there is a bad connection somewhere on that circuit. So what you'll want to do is check the fuse for the right turn signal on your CX-5 and if that looks good then look at the spice connection you made for that function. Be sure the connection is secure and nothing along the wiring is damaged.

Another thing to look at is your ground connection and making sure it's secured to a clean, bare-metal surface. Normally more light functions will act weird when it's the ground but ground problems can be weird in general so I never really rule those out completely until they are checked on.
