What is the Purpose of the Transmission Tune on Edge Gas Evolution CTS3 Performance Tuner

Question:

I have a 2019 Silverado LD 1500. 5.3 eng with the 6-speed trans. I just installed the CTS3 evolution and am using the economy tune. I skipped the trans tune. Im not sure what the different trans tunes are about. can u help? I upgraded my tires to 33 inch all terrain and added a 2-inch leveling kit in the front. also, I have the 3.42 rear end. Thanks

The transmission tune, or trans tune, on the Edge Gas Evolution CTS3 Performance Tuner # EP39YR changes the shifting point as part of the engine tunes. Basically it will change the shift strategy, schedule, and timing depending on the selected engine tune and application.
