Solution for Securing Rear Kayak Carrier Stern Line on Roof of 2021 Kia Soul

Question:

We have a 2021 Kia Soul Manual that we use for a Toad behind our RV. We carry a kayak on the roof of the Kia Soul and we need to establish a good tie down point in the rear of the Kia for the stern line of the kayak. I guess I could install a rear hitch but that seems like overkill as we’ll never tow anything- do you have any other product ideas to establish a rear tie down spot on the Kia Soul? Thanks,

Yakima has their Hood Anchors part # Y07416 which you can shut in the rear hatch of your Kia Soul to use as an anchor point for your kayak carrier. This is a much easier and less expensive solution than a trailer hitch.
