Question:

I am wanting to buy this for my husband for his birthday but want to make sure it is the right one. I saw someone mention 1/2 ton vs. 3/4 ton. Do I need more info about the truck before I buy to make sure it’s right? Thanks

I would be happy to help you find the right ball mount for your husbands birthday. You are gong to need to measure the receiver on the end of his F-350 to determine the correct ball mount you need. You will want to measure the inside of the square. It should be 3' x 3" or 2.5" x 2.5". The B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount item # BWTS30048B you were looking at fits a 3" hitch. Which means it would need a receiver that measures 3" x 3". There is a factory option for a 3' hitch receiver from Ford so this may be the correct one. If the truck sits up higher you will want the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount item # BWTS30049B that also fits a 3" hitch. This ball mount would be my recommendation because it has a larger drop for a taller truck like the F-350.

If the F-350 ends up having a 2.5" receiver you will want the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount item # BWTS20049B.
