Recommend Air Helper Springs For A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Updated 07/07/2022 | Published 07/06/2022

Question:

I have a 2019 Chev 1500 Silverado 2wd pulling a Jayco 23foot RLSW with a Curt WDH and sway bars. The rear of the PU is a bit low about 2-3 inches but I can not raise it with the hitch any more unless I use 2 men and a mule to set the bars. I am thinking of going to an air bag system for a little boost. What are the pros and cons of bags? What is a good brand to get? Your sage advice is appreciated!

When it comes to installing air bags on your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2609 will work for you.

The Firestone airbags enhance your factory suspension for safety and stability when you're hauling heavy loads. They will help reduce strain on your rear axle, and keep your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 level, and will adjust to the load size for a consistent smooth ride.

The air bags have a simple, no-drill installation and have a durable rubber construction which has a double-convoluted design. The airbags have a load-leveling capacity of 5,000 pounds and the adjustable air pressure is between 5 psi to 100 psi.

After installing the airbags The Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor - Wireless - Smartphone Enabled - Single Path # F2610 will let you monitor and adjust your air springs. This single-path system keeps both air springs at the same air pressure. The electronic control unit can be mounted anywhere and stands up to moisture, road chemicals, salt spray, and extreme temperatures.

This system has a Bluetooth-enabled compressor system that wirelessly connects to your smartphone and turns it into an air spring control interface.
