Troubleshooting A MaxxAir MaxxFan That Keeps Trying To Close After Fully Shut

Updated 07/05/2022 | Published 07/03/2022

Question:

When my maxx air air goes to close it will not stop trying to close. I have to cut the power off. Could the problem be in the circuit board or the motor. I don’t see any limit or magnetic switches to tell the board that the lid is closed.

Most likely it's the circuit board since it's the part that activates the motor. The circuit boards are model specific so you will need to purchase the correct board for your model. This means you will have to look at your fan to find the model number and identify which model you have in order to choose the correct replacement part.
