Are there any non "J" style carriers that will work as a clamp on (non "T" track)?

The etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878 fit 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/2" tall crossbars while the crossbars for the Thule Xsporter Pro # TH500XTB are slightly larger at 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall so we need to look at a different kayak carrier for this application.
For an alternative J-Style rack you can use one from Malone along with the T-Slot Fit Kit # MPG8287. The J-Pro2 # MPG117MD has fixed arms while the DownLoader # MPG114MD has the folding arms like our etrailer kayak carrier kit. Both of these Malone options come with tie-downs as well as standard hardware to clamp around crossbars, but will fit the Thule crossbars via the T-Channel with the fit kit mentioned above.
