Flat Tow Base Plate Kit for 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited With Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

Wondering if there is a way to have blue ox baseplate and a front 2 inch receiver hitch on jeep? I have baseplate that I am transferring from my 2008 wrangler as well as the Demo stay in place unit. thanks

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, # BX1126 for 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited can not be installed simultaneously with a Curt, # 31432 or similar front mount trailer hitch receiver as they each occupy the same space beneath the front of the Jeep.

We have been asked this question previously with the goal being to have a front mount hitch for purpose of installing a winch. If this is your objective too, the best option is to replace the front bumper with an aftermarket model that tow rated with D-rings and has a winch mounting plate.

If you have a Blue Ox tow bar, you can then use the Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters for 7/8" D-Rings, # BX88357 or # BX88358 for 1" D-Rings.

For Roadmaster tow bars, # RM-035 for 3/4" and # RM65FR for 1" D-Rings.
