Will the SolidStep Locking RV Storage Box Stick Out from the Trailer Sides

How far will it stick out add to depth once bolted on.

The SolidStep Locking RV Storage Box part # LC664640 is designed to fill the void left over from the old manual pull-down steps when using the fold-up Lippert SolidSteps. The box itself measures 27-1/4" long x 11-5/16" wide which will fit most existing cutouts nicely. I took a look at some of our neighbor's installs and the box does not protrude from the trailer sides in any of these applications, it sits flush or slightly behind on most trailers.

Please note, the box does require an I-beam frame of 8" or larger for proper installation.
