Troubleshooting Curt Fuse Blowing When Wiring is Installed on 2010 Hyundai Veracruz
Updated 06/20/2022 | Published 06/18/2022 >
Question:
The harness has a 10A fuse in the little red box, my Hyundai Veracruz 2010 also has a 10A fuse in the related circuit, together with right hand rear running light and dash light. The fuse on the vehicle goes off without any trailer attached . Does that mean that harness is damaged or I need to install a bigger fuse on the vehicle ?

Expert Reply:
If the 10A fuse on your 2010 Hyundai Veracruz keeps blowing then it sounds like either the Curt T-Connector # C56332 is the issue or that you don't have a sufficient ground somewhere which is blowing the fuse. I would start by making sure your connections to the Curt harness are nice, clean, and snug and then check any ground connections near these plugs or by the battery, making sure they are properly secured to a clean, bare-metal surface.
Attached is an installation video for you to check out.
