How Much Space is Needed For the Installation Hardware of Lippert Components Tailgate Storage System

Question:
I have a 2020 Coachman Catalina 283RKSLE S/N 5ZT2CATB8LX017335 I am looking at the LC373965 Installation hardware kit. I recently purchase a used Lippert tailgate storage basket. I have looked at the kit and watched the videos. To me ,it looks as if my bumper is too close to the trailer to use these brackets. The bumper is welded within 1 of the rear of the trailer. Are there any other brackets that I may be able to use? I probably could use these if I cut the side plates off that slip on each side of the frame and weld them directly on top of the bumper.

The Installation Hardware for Lippert Components Tailgate Storage System # LC373965 requires 4" of space between the bumper and trailer. If you do not have this much space then you will need to find a way to extend your bumper out or have a set of custom brackets made, but we do not have any hardware brackets that fit with only 1" of space between the trailer and bumper.
