Question:

I have a 99 4Runner, I just bought a brush guard from a guy that had it on his truck. But it didnt come with the brackets. He emailed me and said that the guard came off a 01 Tacoma. I really dont know what the make of the brush guard, so Ill ask you guys?

So when it comes to grille guards, the mounting hardware is going to be grille guard specific, as well as vehicle specific.

So the mounting hardware that goes with that grille guard is going to only work with the truck it was pulled off of.

So in order to make that grille guard work for your vehicle, you'd need to fabricate it to your vehicle.

However, if you are interested in another option that requires much less fabricating and is guaranteed to fit your vehicle, take a look at the:

This grille guard looks very similar to the one you have, will fit your 1999 Toyota 4Runner, and comes with the mounting hardware.
