What Electric Fan Do You Recommend For 2006 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 With 6.6L Turbo-Diesel

Question:

Do I need any other wiring parts to install as per thermostat controls for fan to come on or off as needed etc? Also the fan’s cfm’s enough to keep engine temperature cooled while heavy towing since this will be my only method of cooling the engine

I was able to get a copy of the installation manual from a Flex-a-Lite representative. You will not need any other wiring to connect the Flex-a-lite 16" Flex-Wave Electric Fan - Reversible - 2,660 CFM, part # FLX236. The representative let me know this fan will not push/pull to be a stand-alone fan. Their suggestion was to keep your existing fan and fan clutch and to use this as an auxiliary fan. Unfortunately, we do not offer an electric fan that will keep your engine cool enough under normal circumstances, let alone when towing a travel trailer. I have included a picture of the installation manual below.
