Question:

Power Jack will not work with our 2016 ford truck/ works on a 2021 Ram

The Electric Jack # EJ-3527-BBX, and other jacks that operate from power supplied from the 7-way plug, rely on the ground and 12VDC contacts to deliver operating power requirements. Those contacts are located, respectively, at the 5:00 and 11:00 positions on the plug as you view it. Either you do not have that needed pin powered on your Ford, or you are not making sufficient contact to create the needed circuit. Some powered jacks will not operate if there is insufficient voltage. It is not always a need to have voltage present, but also the minimum required voltage.
