The Excel tankless gas water heater, # EX93FR is a vent-free design with an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that detects low levels of oxygen. It can be installed almost anywhere as long as you have decent air turnover, simply having a ventilation fan operating will accomplish this. It requires 2" of clearance on each side and 8" above the unit for proper ventilation. Per the manufacturer this has to be installed upright with the vent facing upwards.
We do recommend that installation and service be performed by a qualified installer/RV Tech.
