Troubleshooting An Everchill RV Refrigerator That Will Not Cool

Updated 06/07/2022 | Published 06/04/2022

Question:

The fridge is not cooling. Lights 1 and 2 are blinking blue simultaneously and cannot be changed. I can put the fridge on standby and turn it back on by pressing the button for 10 seconds, but 1 and 2 are blinking again. I can run “diagnostics “ by pressing the button for 5 secs, but 1 and 2 will start blinking again after a short time. Battery is fully charged and the RV is also connected to shore power. Please help! Thanks in advance!

You'll first want to ensure that your Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer # 324-000119 is receiving a full 12 volts by testing the wiring at the fridge with a multimeter # PT89ZR.

If you don't have 12 volts then either the battery isn't fully charged or the gauge of wire used from the battery to the fridge needs to be thicker to compensate for any voltage drop.

From there you'll want also check the ground. We've had these fridges do some wacky things until we grounded them directly to the frame of the trailer.

The last thing to do would be to let the fridge completely defrost and clean out the drain line tube which can be accessed by removing the rear panel and cleaned with a long pipe cleaner.
