If you already have the 7-way on your 2012 Ford F-150, that carries the needed electrical output to complete the circuit activating your trailers electrical brakes. All you need is the brake controller and the wiring harness to connect it.
I recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885 installed using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, # 22292. This is our best selling brake controller and the wiring harness makes it a simple plug and play install. It is a simple, rugged, straight forward proportional brake controller that is the top seller for a proven reason.
