Question:
My want is to Have this heater mounted outside during the spring summer and fall months. It will be within the shroud so that it is not exposed to rain. Would this be acceptable for this unit?

The Excel RV Tankless On-Demand Water Heater # EX93FR is not meant to be mounted outside directly exposed to the elements.
This is a vent-free design with an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that will detect low levels of oxygen for safety; simply having a ventilation fan in operation during use will accomplish this need. Otherwise, it requires only 2" to 3" of clearance on each side and 8" above the unit and must be installed in an upright position (vent facing upwards).
