The pump switch is just another place to turn on/off the water pump. Or is there another reason for it?

It is a 3-way switch. The SeeLeveL RV Holding Tank Monitoring System, # SE39VR includes a panel that incorporates readings for sensors to track 3 holding tanks, display of battery voltage and includes water pump switch. The integrated switch activates water pump and the 3-Way function lets you connect to switches in your bathroom, kitchen, or elsewhere.
