I have a recommendation for you, but the direct replacement to your Atwood RV Water Heater, Model # GC10A-4E, was the Atwood RV Water Heater 94022; Atwood was purchased by Dometic and this no longer available from the manufacturer either.

My recommendation is the Excel tankless gas water heater, # EX93FR that provides hot water on demand. This tankless gas water heater provides endless hot water on demand as long you keep the propane supplied. It has electronic ignition that requires no standing pilot and the power to ignite the electronic spark module comes from two D-sized batteries not your campers electric system. It is a vent-free design with an ODS (Oxygen Depletion Safety) shutoff device that detects low levels of oxygen and can be installed almost anywhere in you RV as long as you have decent air turnover. The Excel tankless gas water heater, # EX93FR requires 2" of clearance on each side and 8" above the unit for proper ventilation. You can remove the current water heater and install in the same location.

We do recommend that installation and service be performed by a qualified installer/RV Tech.
