I’m wiring a 2013 Mini Cooper. I watched the video but the wire colors don’t match the video. I found the yellow black for the tail lights and they work fine. There is no purple violet on the left. What color wire on the Mini Cooper should be used to control the brake and turn signals on the left and right.

Instead, you're going to need to test your vehicle's harness with a circuit tester # PTW2993 for functionality and match the wires to the wire harness based on functionality.
