Im looking to improve the ride and want to check that I am choosing the correct springs. SSF 172-40-2 up front and SSR 185-40-1 for the rear

For your 2000 Fleetwood Southwind Motorhome you need the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSF-172-40-2 for the front and the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs # SSR-187-54-1 for the rear. Although the # SSR-185-40-1 is confirmed to fit the F-53 it does not fit your Fleetwood Southwind.
These will do an excellent job together to improve the ride on your motorhome. They will absorb bumps and shocks while minimizing sway. This will make it easier to drive and reduce fatigue as well.
