If you're installing the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF without prewiring then you have two options for installation.
Option 1: You can simply splice into the wiring running to your trailer's reverse lights if you'd like the camera to turn on any time you put the truck in reverse.
Option 2: You can splice into the wiring running to your trailer's running lights if you'd light the camera to turn on anytime you have the headlights on in your truck.
Most people prefer Option 2 as this gives you the ability to constantly power the camera. If you have a 2020 or newer GM truck then I recommend also splicing in the PWM Filter # VGR64VR behind the camera while doing this installation to save you some time down the road.
The PWM Filter provides a steady current for the camera to properly operate and is a recent fix to a well known connectivity issue others having been facing with Furrion camera systems.
