What are the required clearances for this inverter in order to make sure it is safe from heat issues? Thanks,

There are a few different clearance guidelines for installing the Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter # PD44FR. As far as the requirements for proper ventilation to avoid overheating, the manufacturer recommends a ventilated area of your RV that does not block the fans in any way. The inverter should also not be used to store other objects in order to avoid obstruction. For the extra space needed, they recommend a minimum of 2 additional inches at the top of the inverter and a space that is completely unobstructed on the fan end. If you plan to use the inverter in high temperatures, this requires additional ventilation space.
I went ahead and attached a screenshot from the installation manual that shows these tips as well as some other installation safety guidelines.
