Question:

Hi. We got a 2020 gulf stream conquest. It has this refrigerator but it doesnt run while we are traveling. The tv has an inverter...what are we doing wrong?

If you have the Everchill RV Mini Refrigerator - 4.5 Cu Ft - 115V, # 324-000109 this operates from 115V AC only. You will need to either be connected to shore power or have an inverter to operate. Something to take your battery power and change from 12 VDC to an alternating current, AC, that is usable for this appliance. You stated that the TV is connected to an inverter, check its rating, if it has wattage rating that supports the refrigerator operation then connect the fridge to this when mobile. You will need to ensure you have enough battery charge to support and that you do not drain your battery too low. Any lead acid battery, a gel cell type, AGM or typical flooded batteries, should not be run below 11.6/11.5 volts. If you do this you increase the risk of damage to your battery. Too low, and or too often doing a deep discharge will ruin the battery. If you are operating from a lithium battery bank you can do a deeper discharge and be okay.

If you need/want to upgrade the inverter, I suggest always buying a pure sine wave model. If your current inverter is not a pure sine wave, replace it. The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34279950 is a very good 1,500 watt inverter with 2 GFCI outlets for AC loads. I like this inverter for certain applications and for price point Vs. rating. This has an integrated transfer switch that automatically changes from inverter (running from your battery) to shore power when you hook up at the campground.
