Question:
Will this license plate light work on a 1995 Trail-et trailer? I dont have original owners manual. If so, what light bulb do I need as well? Thanks.

I researched various Trail-et horse trailers including some from the mid-90s but I was not able to find a photo showing a 1995 trail-et license plate light for comparison. The part you reviewed, the heavy-duty chrome-plated steel unit from Optronics, includes the required incandescent bulb and is a general purpose replacement.
For reference I have linked you to our main product page for all license plate lights. We offer a variety of such lights including efficient LED types as well as lights that can withstand submersion in water.
Optronics fixture # LP21CB uses a single wire lead for power. The ground connection is made through the metal housing when it is mounted to the trailer. The mounting holes are spaced 2-inches center to center. Please note that mounting hardware is not included with the light.
If you remove your existing light you can see if it uses a mechanical ground (as with the Optronics fixture) or if it has a separate ground wire. If there are both a ground wire and a hot wire then you can still use this fixture if you like and simply connect the trailer ground wire to the screw on one of the mounting tabs to make the ground connection. A solid ground connection is required for proper operation.
