Troubleshooting LED Trailer Lights Staying on When Vehicle is Turned Off

Question:
lights stay on when the engine is off however the left side turn signal does not work

It sounds like you have a bad ground on the left stop/turn circuit (probably the trailer light) and you're using LEDs on your trailer when your vehicle is only able to send power back for incandescent lights.
If you locate the ground and/or bad connection and fix it then you should just need to use load resistors like part # DI34ZR which essentially amplifies the signal from the LED lights so your vehicle can read the lights better and know to shut off power to those circuits completely.
