I have an older stowmaster 5000 and would like to know what base plates would work for a 2017 Ford Cmax. If available.

We have the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit, # 524432-1 that is confirmed to fit the 2017 Ford C-Max and will mate to your Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar, # RM-501. Please note the linked installation video below.
If you need wiring for your indicator lights, I suggest the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154 and for supplemental braking system, the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System, # HM39530.
