Question:
I have AandE Systems by Dometic manual awning with 77.5inch arms. I was looking at Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit - Universal - 69inch Arms - White Item # LC434724 Is that what I need? Thanks for your time,

Expert Reply:
Yes, with your current Dometic arms being 77-1/2" in length the Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434724 would be a great powered replacement. These arms are going to come with some adapters to make them compatible with your Dometic roller tube so that you can keep the replacement cost down.
You'll just want to ensure you fill in any holes leftover from your old arms and use some butyl tape # 344270341410-1 on each of the new screw holes you'll be making when installing the arms to prevent and water from leaking inside of your camper's walls.
