Question:

Replacement Fan Motor for Ventline Range Hoods Item # BVD0278-00 My fan only has 2 wires on it. This replacement fan motor has 3. Is this the motor I need for a PH-8 100CFM? And how would it hook up? This is in my range vent hood.

Yes, even though your motor has two wires, you can still use the Replacement Fan Motor for Ventline Range Hoods # BVD0278-00.

The reason this motor has three wires means it can be used also on two speed motors. Since your motor only has two wires, that would indicate that you have a single speed motor.

You will either need to use the blue wire which is for low speed, or the red wire for high speed, and cap off the unused wire.

I have added a schematic for # BVD0278-00 as well, which should help you out.
