Question:

Bought second hand. They installed an aftermarket hitch/receiver and a 4 pin flat plug installed into socket by rear bumper passenger side. No power at the flat plug. Dont know whether they installed relay jumper in cargo area drivers side. Have part 118670 in my cart so when I look I can install if missing. What is meant by inch no converter. Under hood both relays are present in fuse block near battery. I can send pics if needed. What are your thoughts re: no power and converter? Please advise. Thanks,

I have a couple of recommendations for you. The first thing I would suggest is to test your 4-way wiring harness where it plugs into your truck wiring with a circuit tester, part # PTW2993, at the connection and not at the 4-way flat. If you are getting power before the wiring harness, your problem is with the wiring harness itself.

My next recommendation is to make sure your 4-way flat is connected to a power source. This wiring harness should already be plugged into a jumper AND grounded. The jumper is connected to your power source. You can access the jumper from underneath your vehicle on the passenger side. I would start here. If your wiring harness is plugged in at this point, I would trace this wire to make sure there are no cuts in the wiring and it is plugged into the fuse relays near the battery. This is also a good time to check your fuses to make sure they are in working order. If you still have problems after doing each of these suggestions please let me know so we can investigate deeper.

I have a product description link and a video of this wiring harness being installed on a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. You can see this part of the installation starting at the 7:28 minute mark of the video.
