Question:

My trailer is a UK Land Rover trailer with 5 wires: 1 - Left Signal 2 - Right Signal 3 - Brake Light 4 - Tail/Marker light 5 - Ground My truck has a 4 pin plug How do I wire the trailer up?

You are going to need to use a taillight converter to convert the separate taillight signal of your trailer to the combined signal of your tow vehicle. For this you will want to get a Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196.

You will want to cut off whatever trailer connector is on your trailer and then wire up the right turn signal to the green wire of the output side of the # C56196, the brake light signal to the red wire of the output side and the left turn signal to the yellow wire. You should note that the tail light signal does not go to the converter and will bypass it.

The input side of the converter will run to a trailer 4-way like part # HM48110. Basically the colors will match from the 4-way to the converter with the brown tail light circuit bypassing the converter and running straight to the trailers tail light circuit.
