Will Curt Trailer Hitch Interfere With Hands-Free Lift Gate Sensor On A 2022 Buick Envision
Updated 04/16/2022 | Published 04/15/2022 >
Question:
does the installation of the #c94er hitch assy in any way affect the operation of the foot operated rear hatch lift? It seems like it might block the light beam that goes down to the ground from behind the rear bumper.

We have had instances of a trailer hitch interfering with sensors, such as the automatic lift gate. While we do get some information about sensors causing interference from our installations, oftentimes it is from our customers. Unfortunately, the 2022 Buick Envision is fairly new and we have yet to receive any information form reviews about sensor interference with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # C94ER. Typically the trailer hitch interferes with the sensor directly underneath the hitch, but not to either side of the hitch.
