Leaving the battery connected will completely drain your battery and damage it. You don't want to completely kill your battery. Therefore disconnecting the battery on your 2021 Chevy Spark prevents the battery from going dead while the vehicle's being flat towed. If you do not want to disconnect the battery then I recommend adding the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch item # RM-766. This kit lets you disable the battery circuit without physically needing to disconnect it. You will just need to flip a switch. It'll also keep the battery charged while you're traveling to your destination. I have linked an installation video below so you can see the process and understand how this disconnect kit functions.
