Installing A Second Motorhome Kit For The Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System

Updated 04/06/2022 | Published 04/05/2022

Question:

I want to connect my toad to new coach with a 2021 Freightliner S2RV chassis Toad already has AFO in it. I would like the parts and instructions for the Coach. I cannot seem to find much information how to install it. My dilemma is my coach is on order 600 miles from home so I need to get installed before picking up coach. Dealer doesn’t provide this service.

Since you're just replacing the coach side of your Air Force One system you'll just need the Demco SBS Coach Air Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99627.

You'll need to mount the tank and the quick disconnect air line fitting that goes at the rear of the motorhome. You'll have to splice into the factory air lines (supply and metered) to connect to your AFO tank, which will also require you to drain the air out of the lines prior to splicing.

You'll want to get a good tube cutter like # AL10530 to make sure that you get a clean straight cut on your air lines so that they properly seat into the fittings. You'll also want to use some alcohol wipes or brake cleaner to clean your factory lines before trying to seat them in the tee fittings. Bring a bottle of soapy water to check your connections for leaks afterwards.

Since it sounds like you'll be doing this on the ground I highly recommend getting yourself a mechanic creeper to make moving around for the installation a million times easier.

All in all, this installation is very simple but I've also attached a video below where Dave will walk you through it to help.
