Question:
Hi, I bought a used patriot braking system, after extension, it stop and wouldn't retract. I found burnt fuse on the cigarette lighter power supply. Replace this 6 amp fuse and it blew again. Any idea of a solution ? Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your blown fuses! I reached out to my tech at Blue Ox, and he said that there may be a couple reasons for the blown fuses on your 2014 CR-V when using the Patriot # BLU37TR. The first reason is that you need to pull some fuses from your vehicle when using the Patriot. My tech confirmed that this is either the #19 fuse or a combination of the #19 and #20 fuse (depending on the vehicle options on your CR-V model). These are located in the interior fuse box under the dashboard.
Secondly, if you have already pulled the fuse(s) and there are still issues, you most likely need the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps # RM-9332 to make sure you have the correct power needed for the Patriot. I went ahead and attached a super helpful video showing the fuses being pulled and the # RM-9332 installed on a 2014 CR-V.
