To flat tow your 2014 Chevy Express Van 3500 you need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. For your application I recommend the following:
Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - # RM-3140-3
Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - # RM-676 (comes with safety cables and wiring umbilical)
Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit - # RM-154
Brake System - Part # DM86VR for hydraulic or part # DM26VR for air motorhome brakes
High-Low Adapter - See linked article
I really like the base plate kit because it uses a simple pin system to make your connections, and then the tow bar has the higher weight rating you need for the van but also has LED lights on the arms so it is clear that you're flat towing the van. The Roadmaster wiring is hard to beat and then the Demco brake kits are easy to set up after the initial installation.
Attached are some videos for you to check out.
