So Im thinking of keeping the factory 4 pen for now what do I need to connect a trailer break ?

To convert the 4-way of your 2022 Kia Telluride to a 7-way so that you can install a brake controller like the Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR you mentioned what you need is the part # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to convert to a 7-way as well as wire up the brake controller.
