Question:
Im taking out a single 3500 lb axle and putting back 2 - 2000 lb axles on my boat trailer. I know I can piece something together and get it done but I was not sure if you guys could put a package together for me. The current axle is 58inch center to center on the leaf springs and 72inch hub face to hub face. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

When it comes to taking off your single 3,500 pound axle and putting on two 2,000 pound axles you would first need The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with Standard Spindles - 72 inch Long - 2,000 pounds # T20BTR-7258.This axle's hub face to hub face is 72 inches, and its spring center to spring center is 58 inches. When mounting the axles you will need The U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 2,000-pounds, Round Trailer Axles - 4-1/4 inch Long U-Bolts # APUBR-10.
When it comes to the electric brakes The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit w/ Parking Brakes - 7 inch - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 2.2K # K23-103-104-00 will work for the # T20BTR-7258. Electric brakes are easier to install and offer more user control. The manual parking brake levers are included. To mount these brakes on the axle you would need The Brake Mounting Flange for 1-3/4 inch Round Trailer Axles - 2K # 4-34.
To attach the hub and drums onto the axle the inner and outer bearing numbers needed for this axle is # L44649. With that bearing scenario there could be two options on the hub assembly that you may need. There is one that has a bolt pattern of 4 on 4 and one with a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2. The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 2,200-lb Axles - 7 inch Diameter - 4 on 4 # 8-173-16UC3 or The Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 2K Axles - 7 inch Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 - L44649 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-545-2-2K will work for the # T20BTR-7258.
You also need The 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-pound Trailer Axles - 23-1/2 inch Long # SP-113275, and The Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Upgrade Kit for Single Axle Trailers - Double Eye Springs # K71-358-00. I also recommend The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers - Double Eye Springs - Tandem Axle - 3K to 6K # LC279687 which will upgrade your standard equalizers.
I will attach review video links below.
