Question:

Hello! I need help picking the right bike rack for our car. Its a 2009 Honda Odyssey, and we need to carry at least 2 bikes. 3 would be nice, but probably not necessary. We dont have a trailer hitch, so Im hoping there is a roof or trunk rack option for us. Thank you!

I definitely have some options for you but ultimately I recommend going with a hitch mount rack as it gives you a wider variety of bike rack options and it's much easier to load bikes at the back of your 2009 Honda Odyssey than on top of it. Since you mentioned a roof rack I'll start off with those parts.

For a roof rack I recommend the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG216 which clamps onto the raised rails of your Odyssey and gives you 58" of crossbar space to use. For a roof bike rack there are a handful of options depending on what you're wanting to get out of a rack. The Kuat Trio # RU01 is a sleek looking fork mount rack but then you can go as nice as the Thule UpRide # TH599000 that is very easy to use.

Then for a trailer hitch I recommend the etrailer # e98862 because of the durable matte black finish. If you use the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU24FR it gives you 3 bike positions and it has a unique U-Shaped frame which makes it much easier to load/unload bikes.
