Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack according to valet trailer support this 2000 cap jack sized with a total trailer of max 2000 lbs. Your web site state to buy a jack with a cap. that 10 to 15 of trailer wt. which would a 10,000 trailer that is a large differance

The Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack w/ Footplate and Drill Powered Option - Side Mount - Sidewind - 2K # TV34FR has a 2,000 pound capacity.

I think the confusion is coming from the tongue weight formula.

The Trailer Valet JXS is designed to hold up the tongue of your trailer and not the ENTIRE weight of the trailer.

It is designed for tongue weights up to 2000 pounds and if a trailer has a tongue weight that is 2k then the trailer itself is probably 20,000 pounds. Would I use this to hold 20,000 pounds, NOPE. But I completely trust it to hold up a trailer tongue with 2000 pounds on it.

On their website they say it has a static rating of 2000 pounds, this just means it can support that much weight, not that the trailer has to be 2000 pounds or less.
