I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # 118467 for your 2022 Subaru Forester. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness in the spare tire compartment. It does not require any cutting or splicing of wires. It provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your Subaru to power your trailer's signal lights.
You linked to the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 36671 which is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. This is a good hitch and confirmed to fit the 2022 Subaru Forester. However, unless you are specifically wanting a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver, I suggest the Class III, 2" receiver Draw-Tite Max-Frame, # 76271. This mounts the same as the item you linked to but with the 2" receiver it lessens the restrictions that a 1-1/4".
