It punctured the front of the box due to lack of packaging. Has several deep scratches on the inside of the mounting arms. I'm not too materialistic but I would've at least expected it to be fully covered when shipped. Haven't installed it yet but already off to a poor start.
Wanted a 2” receiver (out of stock) but had to get this 1 1/4” one instead. Installation was straightforward (watch the videos) and fairly easy. This is the 4-5 hitch that I have gotten from etrailer. Super simple ordering process and they are always happy to answer any questions that a person might have. Great hitch, Used local Mechanic listed on Draw-Tite site for install. Use a Kuat bike carrier to transport electric bike to Florida. Very Solid!!!

after a year of use on my 2020 Subaru Forester I can highly recommend this hitch. I use hitch to tow a utility trailer and for a bike rack.
Installation was very easy. I did use my quick jack to lift the vehicle a bit for install but you could probably install without jacking. Follow the video on Curt hitch, install is almost identical.
I'm very happy with this hitch! I will use it mainly for a bike rack, so I didn't bother with anyting electrical. This hitch is certianly installable DIY, just take your time. I watched all the videos and mostly followed them. I was nervous about lowering the exhast, but that was the easiest part. I snipped out the heat shield and reinstalled it. Some hitch videos recomended just drilling holes in [the heat shield], or simply removing it. On the driver side I didn't bother removing the whole box, instead I just removed the two bolts on the frame and pushed it out of the way, which worked great.
Simple to install. Video was helpful. Can't beat the price. Took me about 1 hr. 15 min. with minimal/basic tools. You can use a jack to steady the hitch receiver if you don't have another pair of hands and then just jack it up to the frame. (Just keep the fishwire through the hitch bolt holes while raising)
Installed on my 2019 Subaru Forester with no issues in about 1 hr. The installation video is a big help. This is the 2nd hitch that I bought from etrailer, previously installed one on a 2017 VW Jetta, also installed with no issues. Great product.
Fit good and installation went well. It took me about 90 minutes but I was not working fast. The biggest trouble I had was reinstalling the unibody trim behind the rear wheel. In the first step they have you take that all the way out. That's what I did. I think it could be possible to just remove the two screws where the trim is fastened to the frame where the hitch is bolted. The trim is quite flexible and the hitch could be installed with that trim there. I did not test that though
Was relatively easy to install. You really need two people. It is very difficult for one person to hold up and get the nuts threaded. I almost lost a bolt inside the frame, but eventually got it out, so keep the fish wires on until you are ready to put the nut on. Also the videos are invaluable. There is enough ground clearance on the Forester that you don't need to jack it up or put it on stands or a lift. I've had my hitch on for a year now and no problems.

Your products always look great and fit perfect . It is used to tow my pontoon boat . I’ve purchased several products from you excluding lighting harnesses that work as well for my vehicle .
I found the hitch relatively easy to install by myself. I found a 2018 install video on YouTube done by a U Haul employee helpful. One difference was for my 2019 Forester, I did not need to cut the bumper cover as she did on the 2018. I had more trouble with the muffler hangers getting on and off than anything else.
Hitch has worked out perfectly on my 2020 Subaru Forester. I have a bike rack attached and it's held extremely well.
This was a fairly easy job. Just holding it up with a jack stand and one arm made it a little difficult to start the nuts
Came to late for me to open but by the looks of the box there is not enough packaging inside

Solid product. No problem installation in two to three hours.
Product arrived quickly. It feels like a great quality product. Unfortunately the packaging was lacking and allowed the finish to be damaged during shipment. The product now lacks weather protection for winter climates.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. I recommend touching up the affected areas with a rust resistant paint which you will then have on hand for regular hitch maintenance.
