Question:

Good morning. I just bought a 17 durango R/T with factory tow package it does have the factory plug behind the bumper. i am looking for a brake controller and 7-way plug that would be plug n play I am leaning towards the Redarc Tow-Pro brake controller unless you have others that might fit the vehicle better. I tow a camper with a max wet weight of 3750lbs and 375tw with brakes and a WDS. thank you

The only thing I recommend, in order to protect the connector from moisture, and increase its durability, is using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755.

And for the brake controller, the Redarc Liberty is an excellent choice for a brake controller as it is simple to use and out of sight due to its control knob, which also keeps a big brake controller unit out of the cab of your Durango. It is a plug-and-play controller as well with the adapter, so you won't have to do any tricky wiring.
