Question:
We are buying a used tear trailer and would like to get the trailer some new trailer tires. Currently there are two tires look like Kings 480-12 on a rim that says 55mph maximum. We would like to move faster and have tires that can handle highway and a little gravel. The trailer is 4 bolts. Do you have any suggestions on which tire is best?

I believe we have exactly what you need for your trailer, but to be absolutely certain, we will want to look at a few more factors. Thank you for providing the tire size, we have many tire and wheel combos with a 4.80-12 tire. Each of these combos have a maximum speed on 65 miles per hour, which is the limit on most trailer tires and wheels.
The next part that we will want to look at is the bolt pattern. Your trailer likely has a bolt pattern of 4 on 4 inches. You can verify this by measuring from the center of one lug nut stud to the center of the opposite lug nut stud and you should get 4 inches.
The next factor to consider is the weight capacity. There are two load ranges offered in your tire size. Load range B has a weight capacity of 785 lbs at 60 psi per tire and load range C has a weight capacity of 990 lbs at 90 psi per tire. If your trailer has a singe axle, two load range B tires would have a weight capacity of 1,570 lbs and two load range C tires would have a weight capacity of 1,980 lbs. Keep in mind, you want to choose two tires that will be equal to or greater than the axle capacity of the trailer. You should also keep in mind that choosing two tires that exceed the weight capacity of the axle will not increase the weight capacity of the axle.
I have attached a link to all of the tire and wheel combos that we offer with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern for you to check out.
