Can I Use the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch # AM3200 on My 2021 GMC 2500 with 6-3/4 Bed?

I have a 2021 GMC 2500 HD with a factory puck system short bed I am looking at the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel hitch will it work ?????. it has the towing and plowing packages -and sits alittle high-

While you can technically use the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs # AM3200 on your short bed on your 2021 GMC 2500 HD with factory pucks, there may be some clearance issues if your fifth-wheel trailer is not designed for short beds and has a tapered nose. This can potentially damage the cab of your truck when making turns. If you decide to go this route, you also need factory standard rails like the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6333 in order to complete the installation.
With that being said, it is much safer to use a sliding fifth-wheel hitch. For a great recommendation, I suggest the Demco Hijacker - 18k # DM8550034. The great thing about the Demco is that it slides to accommodate turns when the trailer is attached. This sliding function is completely automatic, so you do not have to worry about getting out of your cab to manually adjust the hitch to activate the slide. It also comes with a super heavy duty 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact that is one of the best in the industry. The Hijacker requires the # DM6333 to complete the installation.
