The light-weight Passage 2 features the patented Thule FitDial adjustment system for easy installation, dual folding arms for easy storage and a secure 6-strap mounting system. Cushioned anti-sway cradles prevent bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. The Passage can handle 2 bikes of up to 35-lbs each. I have linked a video showing installation of this carrier.

Since this particular carrier does not include locks, you might consider the Thule Security Strap # TH533 that secures the carrier to your locked trunk, and the Tow Ready Cable Lock # TR63255 to lock the bikes to the carrier.

If you plan to transport bikes for women or kids, or any that has an alternative-style frame (without the traditional horizontal top frame tube) you might consider an adapter bar, such as the Swagman Easy-Out, part # 64005. This item connects between the seat and handlebar posts to provide a level mounting surface to mate with the carrier arms. This helps maintain safe ground clearance for the bike wheels.
