Using a Tow Dolly for 2017 Honda Fit

Question:
Without modification the owners manual recommends professional transport totally on a trailer. However, they allow for the professional trailer that lifts just the front two wheels off the ground as being an acceptable alternative. Based on that I am assuming that my car dolly, that carries the two front wheels off the ground, would also be acceptable. Do you see any reason for not using the dolly?

From my online search results it appears that using something such as the Roadmaster Tow Dolly, # RM-2050-1 is acceptable per the owners manual. Only models with a manual transmission can be towed with 4 wheels down, also called flat towing. If you decide to consider flat towing (manual transmission only), you will need:
- Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, # RM-521569-4
- Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520
- Safety Chains, # RM-643
- Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154
- A supplemental braking system, SMI Stay-IN-Play # SM99251 along with Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400
You must pull fuses in order for the vehicle to be flat towed so I also recommend using FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 and # RM76512.
