Question:

What size ubolts are needed when there is a 1.3/4inch axle and going from 3 leaf springs to 5 leaf springs

You can determine the correct length U-bolts by adding the dimensions of your axle and components. Knowing that the axle is 1-3/4" round you can add that to the height of the Spring Seat # TRSS175 (9/16"). Then you will need to also add the height of the U-Bolt Plate # 012-040-00 (3/16"), washer and nut (1/2") and your leaf spring (?). Without the leaf spring you are looking at 3".

We have the U-Bolt Kit # APUBR-10 that uses 4-1/4" U-bolts that will allow you a leaf spring that is up to 1-1/4" thick.
