Will the Bauer Products Baggage Door Slam latch Fit & Be Able to Be Keyed the Same as My Entry Door

Question:

I have a 2022 Grand Design Reflection 150-Series 280RS fifth wheel. It has a Bauer entry lock Key # 704 and Southco slam latches with R001 keys for the storage compartment. I want to replace the slam latches to be keyed to match the entry door. This Bauer slam latch appears to be nearly identical to the Southco. Will this work as a replacement? Dimensions of the studs are 2-11/6inch x 2-13/16inch see photos.

The Bauer Products RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # BA57FR will fit cut outs that measure 3-1/4" tall x 4" wide (which is a fairly standard measurement). If that is the size of your cut out then this slam latch will work for you. While the Bauer Products RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # BA57FR can be keyed alike, that is referencing that if you bought 2 latches and selected keyed alike then those 2 latches would use the same key. That does not mean that the keys will match the entry door lock that you already have.
